Catalogue For Export Of Textile And Leather Products

The entry and exit commodities catalogue of entry exit inspection and quarantine institutions that have been newly adjusted by the AQSIQ will be implemented from January 1st this year.

Reporters yesterday from the Jinjiang inspection and Quarantine Bureau was informed that the adjustment will have a greater impact on Jinjiang's import and export business. According to preliminary estimates, the annual export volume of products involved is more than 800 million dollars.

It is learnt that the adjustment will include some primary textiles, mineral products, stone materials, industrial raw materials, leather products, hardware tools, small household electrical appliances, and some stone materials, etc., including the current 10 digit HS coding 640. Some tobacco substitutes, chemical products, daily necessities, infants and children's clothing, shirts, pajamas, swimsuits, household appliances and sanitary appliances that can be used for food additives, such as chemical products, food and clothing, household appliances, sanitary appliances, etc, shall be pferred to the "law inspection catalogue" or to the customs supervision conditions for the import (export) customs, involving 350 of the current 10 HS codes.

According to the report, all commodities listed in the national law inspection catalogue must be inspected and quarantined.

The inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Jinjiang said that the catalogue was widely restructured, involving the imported products of infants and children's clothing, underwear, shirts, pajamas, swimsuits and sanitary (paper) towels. It was estimated that there were more than 200 export enterprises, with an annual export volume of more than 500 million dollars. The export commodities related to the Jinjiang area mainly had export technology ceramics, ceramic tiles, polysilicon, bolts, locks, bearings, watches and clocks and imported stones, polyethylene (polypropylene, polystyrene, etc.), wood pulp, cotton cloth and so on, with an annual export volume of about 300 million dollars.

For this reason, the Jinjiang inspection and Quarantine Bureau reminded the large number of enterprises to closely follow up the adjustment of the "law inspection catalogue", to go through relevant procedures ahead of time, and make preparations for customs declaration, so as to ensure the smooth entry and exit of goods after policy adjustment.
