In December 2nd, the Bangladesh knitwear manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) signed a memorandum of understanding with the World Financial Corporation, the Bangladesh Investment Environment Fund Association (IFC-BICF), to establish a "knitting village" to expand the scale of production and export of knitwear.

According to the agreement, IFC-BICF will provide technical support and carry out feasibility study.

Hawke, President of BKMEA, thinks that after 15 years, Meng will surpass China and Turkey to become the largest exporter of knitwear.
