The Beijing municipal government has listed the clothing industry as a key development industry and proposed the idea and master plan to build Beijing into a "fashion capital".

President Chang told us that the purpose of the association was originally established to solve the problem of dressing hard for the people.

With the development of the market economy, the garment industry in Beijing has undergone two pformations. One is the gradual pformation from textile to the final garment. Now, from the whole industry, garments occupy the 60%~70% of the market.

Another change is the pformation from processing and manufacturing, especially export orders to independent brands. At present, Beijing's own brands occupy 60%~70% share in the clothing market.

Turning to the issue of internationalization of clothing brands, Mr. Chang said that Beijing's local brands such as Lining and Adam have gone abroad to explore international exploration, but it still takes a while for Chinese brands to go out, and the key is to enhance the brand's added value and brand culture.

The growth of local brands needs master level designers. Our designers are still young and need a nurturing process. But President Chang believes that China has the resources, the soil and the confidence to realize the internationalization of the brand.
