(PRGMEA) chairman Ijaz Khokhar said that international garment buyers are very concerned about the order situation in Pakistan, because the energy shortage caused many textile enterprises to delay delivery.

Earlier, the Pakistan government abolished the local tax refund scheme for imported goods.

This means that Pakistan's garment exporters lose at least 21 billion dollars in tax rebates, and the shortage of funds has become the most difficult problem faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in Pakistan.

Khokhar chairman said the reasons would force the Pakistan garment industry to move out.

He explained that Bangladesh is the same as the Pakistani culture, and the language barrier is relatively small, so Bangladesh is the first choice for the relocation of Pakistan enterprises.

Bangladesh is abundant in energy and low in cost, while labor efficiency is 40% higher than that in Pakistan.

Benefiting from the EU's GSP, Bangladesh textile clothing products also enjoy zero tariff preferences.

So it seems that exporters in Bangladesh are higher than 25%~30% in the Palestinian territories.

In addition, international buyers have established offices and procurement offices in Bangladesh, and have attracted exporters from Pakistan to contact orders in Bangladesh.

(Karachi) many knitwear, knitted garment manufacturers and exporters also want to pfer their factories to Bangladesh in whole or in part with a view to establishing cooperation with buyers stationed in Bangladesh.

It is reported that by the end of August this year, the delegation of Pakistan's garment exporters will visit Bangladesh and join the local garment manufacturers to establish their partnership.

Khokhar chairman said that the first stage of the expansion of the garment industry in Pakistan was to promote the establishment of joint venture and partnership between Pakistan knitted and woven garments SMEs and Bangladesh entrepreneurs.

During this period, Pakistan 15%~20%'s garment production capacity will be pferred to Bangladesh.

The second stage will focus on making use of raw materials imported from Pakistan to build spinning factories and weaving factories.
