The First Malaysia International Shoe Show Attracts 5 Million Jin

The first malaysia international shoe show attracted more than 45 thousand visitors in 3 days and reached 5 million of its cash sales.


Tourism Minister Datuk Sri Huang Yanyan said that the exhibition's unprecedented success and encouraging results attracted more than 50 countries' buyers, including buyers from Philippines, Vietnam and China. One of them bought 18 pairs of shoes in one breath in 2 days, while one exhibitor also earned 500 thousand Ringgits in 3 days.

She disclosed that there were 86 exhibitors this year, and some people have booked booths for next year's shoe show. Therefore, it is expected that the exhibitors will be doubled and the exhibition space will be expanded next year.


Ding Zhenmin, President of the Malaysia Footwear Manufacturers Association, suggested that the next shoe show, the organizers must provide that the exhibitors must have the latest design shoes and offer preferential prices to attract more public visitors.

Zhou Yangjie, the shoe show consultant and the famous international shoe designer, said that it was gratifying that more and more women joined the ranks of shoes design. In the past 10 years, the design of Malaysian shoes has made marked progress.
