Sino US Cotton Technology Exchange Held In Qingdao

On March 19th ~20, Sino US cotton technology exchange activities were held in Qingdao, Shandong.

Yuan Changxiang, deputy director of the inspection department of the AQSIQ, and DarrylWayneEarnest, deputy director of the cotton marketing program of the Agriculture Department of the US Department of agriculture.

Representatives from the Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Ningbo, Anhui, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hubei and other places of entry and exit inspection and quarantine institutions and experts from the US cotton field participated in the event.

China is the largest importer of cotton in the United States. The US government and the cotton industry have always attached great importance to the cotton trade with China and are also concerned about the quality of cotton exported to China.

The Sino US cotton technology exchange is the first formal exchange between the US Department of agriculture and China's General Administration of quality supervision and quarantine in the field of cotton. The two sides have fully exchanged views on cotton inspection technical regulations, technical standards and cotton quality information, as well as cotton quality management system and inspection technology.

The meeting agreed that China and the United States will take effective measures to jointly solve the current quality problems of imported cotton in the United States, laying the foundation for further in-depth and extensive cooperation in the future.

After the meeting, participants from China and the United States visited the state-level cotton testing laboratory near 1000 square meters of the technology center of Shandong entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau.

American experts have fully affirmed and highly appraised the operational skills of China's cotton testing laboratory equipment and inspectors.
